Analysis of cultural patterns on Urban Public Realms in Multicultural Cities , Case Study: Mashhad Metropolitan

Pattern is a cultural feature. Patterns represent the norms and rules that control their behavior. Every society, patterned behaviors identified and introduced it to better understand the culture, it is essential to recognize cultural patterns.  Urban public realms are the most important part of the cities. The most Urban public realms of contact and communication between people and social interaction occurs and belongs to all people, regardless of differences in gender, race, age and other demographic and social differences. So, the Urban public realms of public life and social context of the community considered that the rules and behavior the society in which they occur. Also, all the activities and citizenship behavior, based on culture and cultural patterns determine and reflect how people use urban spaces are. Therefore, the cultural patterns of citizens in a multicultural society had a complex mechanism that has attracted the attention of this article. The main issue of this research is to identify cultural patterns in multicultural societies is, these patterns are the result of cultural and environmental values. Thus, using descriptive and contextual research to examine cultural patterns in Urban Public Realms of Mashhad as a multicultural city with the use of samples, observe and record observations have been made. The results show that cultural patterns in Mashhad multicultural city will follow model of unity in cultural diversity. As well as the use of urban public spaces, environmental and cultural interact with each other.
